What is sprayed on the headtube and then later taken off? Is that primer? Also, what is the reason of doing so? I love the lines. Wil

Hi Wil-
You are correct, it is just primer. sometimes I will spray primer on a joint/junction because it reveals flaws and uneven places in my finish work. When the frame goes to paint, primer or anything else on the metal is readily stripped off, as Keith scrubs every frame with etching compound, which leaves the surface completely "raw" and uncontaminated - ready for a REAL coat of primer.
